Let's go fly a kite...

There are times in life when things are easy... when it would seem that one had not a care in the world.. When all FELT as though it were well in the world.. at peace.. at rest.. at ease... There are times when we let our guard down and grow in our places of comfort, our places of joy.. and we become apathetic... we fail to rely on God, fail to see our need for Him.. fail to grow IN Him because we are so cozy, so comfy with where we are...

well... that is NOT the someplace my family is... We rely upon Him DAILY.. resting in HIM and only IN Him Daily.. and it is IN Him we find our Grace, our Mercy, our Patience, our Rest, our Peace, our Comfort, our Guidance, our Daily Bread...

flying a kite, is a wonderful reminder of this.. the kite, the string the person, may all be tangible, physical and real.. but with out the spirit of it, with out the wind to give it breath, to lift it and sustain it.. it won't fly, it won't float, it won't soar.... and rise into the heavens, giving our hopes reason to rise...

our Lord provided.........

go... go my friend...
go fly a kite.. up to the highest height
watch it soar
and with it... let your hopes float
your dreams be let go
and expectations drift away
and enjoy the moment the smile comes across your face
as you feel the power tugging at you...
feel the wonder once again.......
don't wait till you FEEL well
dress right,
go regardless of how you feel
don't worry if it's a fancy kite or not
just go on the day the wind is good...
and don't make it a crazy big deal.. just an hour or so..
and feel, experience the wonder of it all again..
and have some time enjoying the heavens..
