we departed France
and came home to America
Today is Bastille Day
French Independence Day
it was NOT the day we would have chose to leave
not with Tour de France coming to OUR neck of the countryside
no
but we had people here waiting..
and it was time.
I will always remember THIS day
because it was Bastille day
Perhaps had it been any OTHER day
it would eventually drifted off in my memory banks
into obscurity in my mind
I miss it.
I would go back in a heart beat.
Vive La France!
