Firemen are the Coolest!

Can you just even begin to GRASP the absolute JOY

that Buddy experienced this weekend

when OUR firehouse had

it's annual

OPEN HOUSE

?

I don't think you can...

NO..

look again at that picture..

it was for him...

a total

THRILL

They had GEAR for him to look at..

to touch

to walk PAST..

so thrilling..

you can't begin to fathom...

were the other kids enjoying this...

Open House..

yes..

absolutely

but it was NOT for them the #1 most exciting day EVER!

to them it was really quite interesting

they have done this before

they always enjoy

Buddy LIVES for this day

and we didn't even tell him it was coming up,

JUST in case something got in the way and messed it up for him..

HERE we are arriving

on the BIG day..

so much to see on this GREAT Adventure!!

HOW terrific are Firemen anyways..

well.. they are just THE best...

yes..

BEtter than Police men

because..

even though Police men are pretty darn fabulous

some times..

only sometimes,

they give you tickets for not really anything at all

or

sometimes they are sneaky

sometimes they are like that

but mostly they are great.

according to Buddy...

and that is why sometimes

on the CBradio

people refer to them as

bacon,

pigs,

the fuzz

cops

the man

coppers

and other "disrepectful" terms

when really one OUGHT to only ever refer to them as OFFICERS

because they SERVE the community

and are hard workers

to keep crime off the street and help keep the Law

Buddy has a strong sense of justice

except when it is HIM breaking house rules

the thing that is sooo cool about the firemen

is they ONLY EVER COME

to HELP YOU

they train all day long

and have special places to sleep

and they eat together

and they ride on the COOOLEST ever trucks

and use super neat tools

and know how to open the red firehyrant outside our house.

Buddy thinks Firemen are #1 !!!

This is Fireman Mark

He gave us a TOUR of the FireHouse

Important things we learned.

our town does NOT have a fire dog

does NOT have a fire pole

everything is on one floor

and they have neat little bunk rooms

Their kitchen is big

and they have 3 fridges

one for each shift

There was a LOT to see and learn

but these were the things important to Buddy..

This is where they store their cool fireman coats and fireman gear.

This nice fireman taught the children how some of their equipment works..

how they are able to use it in route to save lives!

It was very exciting to see

Here is the nice fireman who showed us the inside of the FIRE TRUCK

He was very funny

and very informative

and my family

asks a LOT of questions

believe me

Could buddy LOOK more thrilled to be IN

FIRETRUCK?

it was just the most wonderful day for him!

We are doing our best to create little adventures for our little adventurer's

and I am excited to start bringing these

local adventures to you

here!

once again :)

In between the this and the that of life,

it's fun to squeeze in these happy memories

to mark them with photos

and remember

because some days are just NOT as thrilling as others

but remembering

and looking back upon them

can bring back

laughter

funny stories

smiles

and you get to RElive the day again

and it is worth the effort...
