our little garbage man....

Everyone at the Cornforth Mansion has chores....
Buddy is the Garbage Man...
the "indoor" Garbage Man.
see...

He isn't TALL enough to get the garbage in the outside BIG BINS...

but HE is in charge of collecting ALL trash from all the bathrooms...

He goes around with his garbage bags, and

empties the garbage pails...

He EVEN gets to empty the container by the desk!

Buddy is VERY proud of his chore...

of ALL of his chores..

He likes to SWING the bag over his shoulder like Santa Claus
and to from room to room in the house emptying out bins...
He FEELS important with his job
because it IS an important job
and HE is an important member of this family..
what Buddy does NOT like
is
touching trash...
or germs
or icky things...
and YET
this IS the same child who ROLLS in the mud....

rolls around the floor EVEN at a doctors office (talk  about  ICK)

yet..

when the trash MISSES the bag...

it is difficult for Buddy to actually TOUCH it

to PICK it up

OFF the floor and place it in the bag

with his hands...

its a GERM thing

it is "disgusting MA!"

we have been informed on several occasions

that "we JUST don't understand".

So everytime Buddy has a "trash day"

we have to check for trash on the floor...

and we HAVE to have him pick it up...

today..

Buddy requested Garbage Man Gloves...

REALLY?

I looked at him, and he looked at me..

tilted his little head and just made this adorable face..

and nodded..

YEP... he REALLY meant it
