I wish the lighting was a bit better, but well, here it is. A smidge closer.
We both were seen, and Buddy was diagnosed with something called impetigo. The doctor was a bit startled by the presentation of his symptoms, enough to hunt down a more experienced dr. to get a 2nd opinion. They were VERY helpful, but they didn't seem 100%. Well, it's called practicing medicine for a reason. :)
This is what they think happened. As buddy has such bad allergies, they think that he he may have had this infection for a week or more. (He had mild symtoms last week, but due to his many various skin issues, I took a photo, made a mental note and moved on, it was mild), anyhow, they think with the bacteria on his skin, that when he had this allergic reaction to what ever he is allergic to, that the skin being totally sensitive, and freaking out, was a perfect target for the bacteria to jump on and have a hay day on. This is obviously NOT their exact words but my interpretation of them. Infection living on skin, skin flipps out from allergy, whole situation compounded.... sound crazy.. ? yeah, but what else is new? :)
Here is a web site that has information on impetigo http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/infections/bacterial_viral/impetigo.html
he has a lot of they symptoms but not all of them. We have to wash each site and dry, then apply a special antibiotic cream on the infected site. No swimming for lil' Buddy for a few days as he is contagious. Wash wash wash. :) So simple to do with a 3 yr old :)
As for me and my dizzy feelings, they could find nothing. I was however the 3rd lady in that day with the Exact same symptoms. So they can't really say anything. Again anything changes or worsens, like they said with Buddy, we just come back in. :) they weren't sure if it was vertigo, or a virus :) So he gave a script for something to help with the dizzy, but said to wait a couple days to see if it goes awasy on it's own. okey dooky !
After all that, we picked up medicine for buddy, and had supper at 99.
It is a chain restaurant here in MA. Its idea is trying to convince you to eat there, with 99 reasons. They have the 99 reasons all framed around the restarant. :)
Pretty silly.....
