the other side of Wednesday

Psalm 133

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard, coming down upon the edge of his robes.
It is like the dew of Hermon coming down upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing--life forever

Dwell together in unity. Blessing is life forever... That's it. The whole Psalm. Straight and to the point. How do we dwell?
Do we dwell in Love, in understanding, with compassion? How do we dwell in our families? In consideration for the souls that God has in His sovereignty, ordained to be our Family, do we dwell in unity?
In regards to our Local Church, do we dwell with unity? In regards to the Church Universal, do we dwell with one another in unity?
We've been challenged by these scriptures recently, in regards to our local church. How do we dwell in unity, when we are not always in agreement? I'm not asking should we, but HOW? What does it look like? We praise God that His word is so living, so active, so challenging, that it is indeed not void, outdated or some "fairy tale".
In our struggles we have clung to the scriptures, learned what "waiting on God" looks like, and have done all we could to live our lives according to what God's word says, and He in His grace and mercy has blessed us.
Through those struggles the Lord has knit us to the body of Christ in a way that was incomprehensible before Wednesday. (Wednesday was a day a couple weeks back, that God chose to delegate as a day of beginning and a day of ending. More on that to come...)
Now, on the other side of Wednesday, things are clearer, the air that had been as stifling as a hot August night, has cleared, for God brought a breeze that night. Wonderful merciful Savior. Waiting can be so hard, in our Fast Food culture, with our cell phones, and credit cards and all that jazz, waiting can be torture! We no longer wait all winter and spring and summer for the apple orchard to grow apples, we just hit the local market and get whatever we want, and go to the orchard for fun! A fieldtrip.
We no longer wait for the Harvest with great expectation, we as a people don't even wait to save up for most things, we just put on credit and pay later...
So waiting on the Lord, it doesn't come easy, it doesn't come naturally, its foreign. But on the other side of Wednesday, where the air is clear, the night has passed, the Light of Christ reigns on High, and it is pleasant to dwell together in unity. And the oil is so sweet dripping upon our anointed heads. We thank Jesus, for His grace, His patience and His instruction revealed to us through His Holy Bible.
New are things here now, but yesterdays friends are forever friends. Any issues, God resolved in our waiting, through our praying, and our obedience to Him. While it looked odd to others, God worked all things for good .
Do I sound so vague? I really can not be frank at this time. Soon, just a bit more of waiting ....
