Sometimes my expectations are simply tooo great!! too HIGH... too Lofty... sometimes thinking that my day can start before noon is obsurd. Because before noon, teeth need to be brushed, and boo boo's kissed, secrets told, and prayers said.
Before noon....
Pajamas may still need to be worn, and dish's be done, story books be read and hymns be sung, there are so many things that need to be done before a day can become .....
Today is one of those days. A day when more sleep was needed, snuggles and songs were sung, bible stories were read, and Oma was called... Today children giggled while they did dishes and vacummed, and Buddy snuggled and had to tell me all about this truck and that one...
Today no one wants to be academic, and anyone who knows them, know, these days are few and far between, so needed, so nice...
so hard though
if you have great expectations..
if you had a laundry list of things YOU wanted to do
places you wanted to go
things you wanted to accomplish
see done, finished or even just begun...
well its now after NOON, and I have thrown out my list...
all that is left
is
Read a great book!! out LOUD to my children. (right now it is the Bronze Bow)
Go to the Chiropractor
Take Princess KI to the stables for Riding lessons
Take Caspian to Boyscouts :)
Eat dinner
and not in that order
:)
so much for expectations.... they sure are loveable, kissable, snuggable.... and they miss their Papa sooo much! I think the best thing for me to do is to love them through this, hug them through this, let them heal, emotionally, physically, spiritually... I am so thankful for the opportunity to go 1000 mph, one day, and a snails pace the next.....
so as for those expectations....
not my will Lord by THY will be done :) thank YOU for the Leading

It sounds like you and the kids had a very peaceful morning and you got to enjoy each others company! Miss all of you, praying for all of you. I hope, Lord willing and leading to see all of you on Saturday for pizza pie.
Love Alicia
