Isn't this beautiful??? We drove to Annecy this past Saturday, and this is the beautiful lake it sits on. Lac d' Annecy, surrounded by the Alps... though I was told... these are the foot hills.. they are not so big... well... 'whatever! I am impressed!
see the little village below? Here is Buddy !!!

What a view, what a glorious day! If it wasn't for the fact the water was from the snow capped mountains of the alps, and felt like ice, the day would have been perfect for swimming!
Caspian sporting his shades, and enjoying the beautiful clean view! The swans, the ducks, and the mountains.. It is simply beautiful here, and we are all amazed!
Princess Ki with the lake and the church behind her!!! Love that girl, love that smile :)
just another photo, because I LIKE this one :)

ok, so much for the water being too cold, some of us think it is, some of us think it is just fine!!! :)this water is soo clean, so cold, so beautiful, and so is this girl!!! (not cold)
Caspian only went in, because the Princess called him a chicken.. or rather, questioned whether or not he might be like one....
Buddy is OK with NOT getting wet... He thinks they are CRAZY for getting in that cold water!!! I agree with him! (he shall not be swayed by peer pressure.... good to note)
Buddy wanted a photo of self and the boat behind him!
again.... Buddy and boat
and we went off exploring .... into the alps! see the houses ??? they are little white dots at the bottom of the mountain........
do you see the castle? woo hoo, we are going to adventure and attempt to get there!!!!!!
ta dah! look and see what we have found! This is the Castle of St. Bernard... Yes the SAME Saint whom the dog is named after... This man was the same one who trained this breed to be search and rescue dogs out in the alps. His name was Saint Bernard de Menthon (1008-1081), he was born in this very castle, and is considered a patron saint of mountain dwellers climbers skiers, and Alpine troops.
More than anything, what amazed us is that, this beautiful Chateau, or Castle, is actually still in the same family! And the lineage is amazing.. How they have served their people, is just wonderful... it made us think of the teaching that we heard from Norm Wakefield... and how important passing on the heritage to our children is.... This family has really left a legacy...
Pretty nice ! I could get used to this!
Caspian in where the knights would have been to defend the castle...... I forget what this is called, but it is where the archers would be.....
Just a pretty picture of the small village next to the lake, along the mountain!
It was a VERY fun adventure... We went driving up and down the Alps, we found any zig zag trail on the GPS and took it, up up up.... so fun!! We drove through two tunnels to get to Annecy, and they were so long you couldn't see to the other side.... It was AMAZING!!
Saturday was a huge success!!!
