subway trains............

Things that kids from 'burbia get big kicks out of... riding on a subway train!!!!! yes! For all you city dwellers, commuters and adults, this is really NO big deal... But my kids have never been in a subway train, and the thought of going in one was HUGE... and getting to ride in one to go to Church this past Sunday was even MORE exciting! Here is Princess KI fixin' up her do'

Here is Papa and Buddy... NO there was NEVER going to be a chance of getting Buddy to LOOK THIS WAY for a photo opportunity... so I didn't even try... he was just glued to his window seat....

and here is Kari, my new American pal ! She and her hubby are showing us the "subway ropes" so to speak, so that we too can learn to be savvy when it comes to using the very terrific Lyon Public Transportation System. :)

We all went together to the International Christian Community of Lyon http://www.icc-lyon.org/ Sunday afternoon where Pastor Mike DiGena preached a wonderful sermon in .... English! Children seemed to outnumber adults too ! hurray!!! Pastor Alex Sarran and his lovely wife Suzanne led us in worship, both contemporary and some hymns too :) Alex pastors a church that is French speaking on Sunday mornings http://erelyon.blogspirit.com/ we hope to perhaps visit their church sometime as well. It was grand to meet some family's with children, with like minds, like values, and that at least all speak some English! We may even have some potential play times in the near future!!!!!!

Princess KI and I also were introduced to the "french kiss" and what it REALLY is.... :) NOT what they make it out to be in America...THAT much I WILL tell you !
