To the OPERA Darling To the Opera!!! Friday Fun day!

The Lyon Opera House
I can actually see it from my street! It is across the river and down a few blocks,
but what a building!
It seems on Wednesdays & Fridays at midi (12:30) they host
free concerts !!!
so this past Friday you know where the blessings and I went?
to the Opera!!
Below is a photo of the ceiling in a section of the Opera house..
most my photos of the inside did not turn out well as I had my setting wrong...
so forgive me .. :)
so there won't be any of that here today!
3 kids on my own in a foreign city,
I was glad to come home with all of them :)We had so much fun Friday !
yes it was a Friday fun day, but Papa had to work,
it was NOT a French holiday...
that is ok, they make up with it by giving us two days off next week :)
At the free show, there was a pianist, and he was very good,
though the children chatted on and on how THEIR teacher
would say this
or that
and how it was SOOOO
obvious to them
he'd NOT been trained by HER
(someone is pretty special, and VERY missed!)
Below is a neat fountain thing,
obviously more modern for this ancient city!
It sits next to the Opera house in the open square,
also close to this location is Hotel de Ville, a very fancy building,
o the architecture is beautiful here!
more of the plaza!
A pretty girl... gee she is my Princess KI!
It is raining and we are enjoying a view of the city!
Here is Caspian getting a great photo.. same as the one I got...

And then it is OFF to a coffee house for a treat!
ok George MISS YOU!!!
This is sooo nice, they speak English here too :)
and yes
it is a Vanilla Latte :)
and those donuts were three,
but someone was already eating his,
and would not wait for the photo...
can you guess who?

hmmm... guess you'll never know...

Princess waited... to be SURE and Certain!
a lady of utter restraint and will.

My treat was the latte :)
Was it price-E???
YES!
but NOT if you think of it THIS WAY...
I only spent 10 Euro 80
for
an afternoon at the Opera
a LARGE coffee and a treat for my darlings...
now doesn't THAT put it into a better perspective...
we'll just forget the Opera was free...
:)
It sounds better that way!
