Do you know I love Garlic? Here are some photo's up close of the market... just to give you an IDEA
a wee sampling of what THINGS look like at market :) Cheese, Cheese yummy yummy Cheese, Spread it on warm baguettes...
Cheese Cheese yummy yummy Goat Cheese ~ Chavre!
Can we just say YUMMY!!!
Does this display not just MAKE you want to spend MONEY and cook????
& EAT

Now THIS is Cheese! Not some siran wrapped Vel*****ta something or other that melts in your microwave... no... THIS! it is simply beautiful, delicious, a culinary delight to behold! Truly, if their is something the French have mastered... It is Fromage.. It is Cheese! We like the Cheese man.. There is more than one cheese man... We imagine he lives in some wonderful stone home in one of the wonderful villages near here... That he makes his cheese and brings it to market.. We don't know for sure... but we have great imaginations.. we read a LOT of books, and we are happy imagining.. everything about him, and his stand... lends to this imagination...

Herbs and garden delights au natural! These garden fresh delights are still sporting the garden dirt from whence they came so fresh are they picked, they smell as you walk by, like they just came from MY garden! YUMMY!!

There are oodles of florists here at the market, who all sell beautiful flowers, each displaying THEIR blossoms in a way unique to them...
Each attemting to grab your fancy with their artistic flair, I enjoy them all!!!!!
I could just walk up and down beside their stands taking my own sweet time
for quite some time... it is a wonderful delight..
to bad their is no Starbucks in my hand!
Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet...
that IS the question isn't it?
Well here in France,
if I am not mistaken the rose is called
s'est levé
and YES they smell as sweet!

I just love the flowers at Market! They are freshly cut, and simply exquisite! Their perfume is dazzeling, and their colors can mesmerize you, pulling you into a world of mix and match; an imaginary world mixed with the here and now, where you begin to "imagine" just what you should buy, and how it will look, in that vase on the dining room table..... or rather perhaps the entry hall... or... perhaps... all while the city sounds continue to buzz about you, the sirens and the honking and the motorcycles, bicyle bells, and chattering of people in French... Too beautiful...
