So here we are on one of our many adventures... What are we doing here in Bellacour... it is a big... rather open concrete area in middle of the city, with this enormous statue in the center, the tourism center in the corner (look to the right and you will see the little building with flags way in the corner! that is it), directly to my right is a play ground ..(concrete) and to my left, opposite of the tourist building is the stairs leading down to the subway...

So WHY am I here???

I want to meet someone!

Her name is Kari, she is a Christian, an American, who is Living HERE in Lyon now for several years, and I discovered her blog on the Internet while researching... I contacted her, and ...

we planned to meet Thursday @ Bellacour, so

here are the kids ! Draping themselves all over Hera (Greek godess, name) or in Roman her name would be Juno! Isn't she HUGE???? It was Ben's idea to climb on her!

Here they are on Zeus! ok that is the original Greek name. .. As this is a Roman City.. His name would be... Jupiter!
The Sun King... Louis XIV really wanted YOU and I to know he was of supreme importance.... and above even the HIGHEST of Roman gods... ha ha... so arrogant! dressing up too :)

I didn't take a photo of Kari that day! But we did meet, and she even brought her husband! We all had a drink at the cafe next to the Tourism Center, and then he had to leave. She joined us back at the playground. We chatted and got to know one another a bit. Even just chatting with someone who speaks English was lovely, yet someone from home, who knows your ways, your culture was wonderful! Thank you Lord! It was a breath of fresh air!

and plans to meet at church Sunday!
