The day before Christmas...

twas the day before Christmas and all through the house
wrapping and ribbon streamed all about...

Every creature a stirring, 'round in their zone
hustling and bustling making ready the home

Children beaming with utter delight
at the baking and cooking and eating in sight...
Favorite dishes, and cookies all full in their minds
To kindness, and thanksgiving NOT one is blind.....

yes...
for our family Christmas is a two day holiday...
and the festivities begin bright and early tomorrow morning...
today will be one filled with
the baking of many cookies,
the wrapping of many gifts,
the telling of many whispered and excited secrets
the nibbling of treats
oooodles of hugs
the tenderest of kisses, butterfly kisses, rassberry too,
one, no two doctor appointments,
a wee bit more shopping,
some dinner preparation,
some cleaning,
and some singing of caroles....
all in all...
it OUGHT to be
a delightfully jam packed joyfilled
day of preparation to celebrate

Christ our King...
born in a manger...ahhh...
think of that babe...
wrapped in swaddling cloths..
think of the life He led
Sinless,
full of LOVE JOY PEACE
PATIENCE KINDESS GENTLENESS
FAITHFULNESS SELFCONTROL
full of
MERCY
FORGIVENESS
full of GRACE
full of the FATHER and of His SPIRIT...
Fully God... yet fully man
Who came for me...
into this world in such humble means...

so humbling isn't it...
how much He loves you....
How much He loves me...
rather shocking...
rather awesome...

I am so excited to celebrate
the Birthday of Jesus Christ
my Lord
my Savior...
